We are providing an update about our efforts to resolve our ongoing technical issue that has temporarily closed our in-person, email, phone and online services.
The Human Rights Legal Support Centre (HRLSC) has experienced a cybersecurity incident. This act, directed at our network, has temporarily left us unable to communicate internally and externally by phone and email. In response to this incident, we have taken immediate action by enlisting the expertise of technical experts and law enforcement agencies to mitigate and help prevent any further cybersecurity risks. In the meantime, we are urging our clients to take precautionary measures to enhance the security of their online information during this period. As we are unable to communicate through our network, we ask anyone who may be in contact with our clients to share with them this critical news.
The Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO) has been informed of the situation.
We thank you all for your patience as you await updates and next steps from us. We apologize for the unforeseen disruption this incident has caused, particularly for scheduled matters before the HRTO. Moreover, we deeply regret how this disruption has impacted our services to you. As we move forward, we will offer every support we can to our clients and ensure that they are engaged throughout the recovery and reopening phases of the HRLSC.
Our dedicated team is working to ensure that we have a secure network and are again able to provide our services to people across Ontario. We anticipate providing an update on the full return of our services in the near future.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
