The applicant, a man who uses a wheelchair frequently, shops at a local store where the ramp is only accessible by going through a parking lot. The applicant felt it was dangerous because he was not visible to cars. The store arranged to bring product out if the applicant called ahead, but the applicant alleged the store often didn’t pick up their phone when he called.

The HRLSC represented the applicant was able to negotiate a resolution with the store.
